As the Transitional Housing cooridnator and the person who inputs all of the clients entering the shelter and leaving , I can say this is an excellent tool for both the facilty as well as grant information for the region.

Charity Check Homeless Management Information System

Charity Check began providing services in 1996 to local churches, and benevolent agencies, giving them a way to network information.  This provided them the opportunity to ensure the needs of clients were met, and that fraud was detected.

Because of its reputation among the many agencies already using its standard networking program, Charity Check was approached about providing an HMIS solution for a local Continuum of Care.   In 2006 Charity Check launched its Homeless Management Information System solution.  And now that same system is available to you!

Call Us Today...for a free online demonstration of the Charity Check HMIS system today. There's no cost and no obligation and it only takes about 30 minutes of your time!

Our toll free HMIS line is 1-800-414-2046.

Features: Base System

  • Based upon HUD Final Standards for HMIS solutions 2009!
  • Web based system based upon latest .Net platform utilizing a SQL server based data structure.
  • Ability to export raw data via comma separated value (csv) format for use with third party reporting software or import into other systems.
  • User friendly screens featuring drop down menus and radio buttons on multiple selection fields.  Client intake can take as little as five minutes!
  • Ability to search clients by name, social security number or personal identification number.
  • 128bit Secured Socket Layer encryption.
  • Privacy - The program features two ways to privatize data.  First, an agency may be tagged by the CoC administrator as private preventing any other agency from viewing its client information.  Secondly, any agency may choose to privatize information by sections. (ie. Basic, Residence, Income, Health, etc.)
  • Client Bed Registry – This section allows agencies across the CoC to keep an inventory of beds.  A user has the ability to view an inventory of all beds within the CoC, to register a client into their own facility or make a reservation at another facility.

Features: Optional Modules

  • NEW! HPRP Module - this module allows agencies to track stimulus based HPRP funding and produce Quarterly Progress Reports (QPR). This module is a must for those administrating funding as the Attorney General's office has targeted this program for great oversight.
  • NEW! ESG Module - The ability to track and report on Emergency Shelter Grant Funds.
  • Photo Module – this module allows users to upload an image of the client or client id (ie drivers license) to aid in making proper identification of returning clients.
  • Case Information Module – this module gives users more leeway in sharing information among other CoC agencies which they feel may be beneficial in assisting the client.
  • APR Module – This module automatically calculates information for the HUD APR report.   The user may select the date range for the report required.  This gives agencies with different contract dates with HUD the ability to select their required time frame.  Also, the CoC administrator using this report, generates a report from all agencies within it’s Continuum.
  • AHAR Module - It is estimated that to prepare an AHAR by hand it takes sixteen weeks of forty hour work weeks. As you can see this is no small task. However, with the Charity Check AHAR module it takes just a few minutes. Simply request the AHAR report and our software automatically generates the information into a file which can be uploaded to HUD. No need to manually type in hundreds of fields of information, just let the program do it for you. This not only saves valuable time, but reduces human error which is common in tasks so large. This cutting edge AHAR module is definitely worth its weight in gold!
  • Charity Check Standard Module – this module allows users to be automatically logged in to our standard Charity Check program.  By using this they may network agencies outside of the CoC such as faith based organizations or other social service agencies to maximize the network for the benefit of the client.
